ARTIST STATEMENT

Joy creates image-based, collaborative performances that position the body as a central medium. She improvises and choreographs for both theater and site- specific settings. Her work investigates tenderness as a transformative practice, confronting love and war through themes of nature, intimacy, and cultural liminality.
